Professions
Gather, then craft: professions drive the game's economy and the Auction House.
Professions window: key N. Each profession has its own level, separate from your combat level: the higher it gets, the faster you gather and the more often rare items drop.
Gathering
Walk up to a tree, a rock, a plant or a fishing spot and interact with E. Some resources require a minimum profession level.
